First Nations Launches New “Nourishing Native Children: Feeding Our Future” Grant Program

LONGMONT, Colorado (April 12, 2017) – First Nations Development Institute (First Nations) today launched a new grant program called “Nourishing Native Children: Feeding Our Future” thanks to generous funding provided by the Walmart Foundation. The effort will provide grants to Native American communities interested in expanding nutrition resources for existing programs that serve American Indian children ages 6-14. First Nations plans to award up to 10 grants of up to $15,000 each to continue or expand existing nutrition efforts.

The deadline for all online grant applications is May 5, 2017.

Call for Storyteller Applications: Native Nonprofits

NAP is now accepting Storyteller Applications for our #GenIndigenous Regional Convenings! Apply by March 27th, 2017 to join us in San Francisco or Seattle and present on your organization and the important work you’re doing to strengthen the health and well-being of Native youth. Applications will be considered by how programming is addressing gaps and disparities and championing community assets, cultural competency, leadership that reflects the community served, and the impact on Native youth. Gavino Limon performs the Buffalo Dance at the AEA Conference 2012 Closing

This is the American Evaluation Association 2012 conference and Nicole Bowman was part of bringing Natives there.  The buffalo dance is being performed at the closing ceremony of AEA.
