Webinar on Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder Patient Records Regulations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced a new webinar consultation on the Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder Patient Records regulations (42 CFR Part 2 or Part 2). SAMHSA is seeking input on the effects of 42 CFR part 2 on “patient care, health outcomes, and patient privacy.” They are also looking for input on potential regulatory changes and future subregulatory guidance.

SAMHSA will be accepting written comments regarding revisions of 42 CFR part 2 until September 14, 2018.
